Lingerie has always been the terrain of female elegance and refinement. Especially, when it comes to lingerie that is created with concern about nature and with idea to empower women to achieve their dreams. Like the delicate, nature-inspired pieces created by the London based label, In Bloom.

Their adorable bras and knickers are constructed to become your second skin and dress you in a veil of natural softness. The collection is inspired by the joy of spending a day in the nature, so it is poetically named ‘A day by the lake’. Indeed, the soft shade of blue and the charming ivory make you think about the tranquility of a delightful getaway somewhere far from a buzzing big city. Besides being subtly beautiful and delicate, In Bloom lingerie is made of organic materials like organic cotton and Lyocell, an innovative fabric made from sustainably grown wood pulp. Their collection is made with love in a family run factory in France that specializes in corsetry making already for generations.

If you decide to indulge your femininity and feel empowered by the sustainable choice, pop in our store and get yourself a piece from In Bloom!

This weekend is all about GOOD food, with the Food Film Festival taking place at one of our favourite places in Amsterdam, Studio K.

The festival's philosophy is based on the idea that people will have to revalue their food in order to make a sustainable change. And the best way to do that, is by enjoying, loving and caring for your food.

There will be documentary screenings that show the most amazing chefs, dishes, food producers and food lovers.

The Food Film Festival is an initiative of the Youth Food Movement Netherlands, a youth organization that promotes good, clean and fair food. Just like it's mother organization Slow Food.

Check out the food film festival's website for the full program: www.foodfilmfestival.nl

At the MINT Fair in Amsterdam we happened to get a stand next to the friendly and outgoing guys representing A QUESTION OF – a sustainable street fashion label based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Once we saw the ironic funny prints on their high-quality organic cotton pieces, we knew these would fit perfectly into the store.

A QUESTION OF

A QUESTION OF stands for sustainable street wear produced with love and respect for people and the environment. They are the adherents of diversity and transparency in fashion in today’s times of digitalization. Their mission is to make sustainable living a simple choice worldwide.

All their cool T-shirts are produced in Tanzania under fair trade conditions, as their utmost aim is to create better working opportunities and living conditions and support sustainable growth in East Africa. Besides launching this initiative, they also ensure constant creative development of the brand through collaborations with young and talented designer, illustrators and artists.

To see how easy it is to fall in love with the brand, see me already wearing a T-shirt dress from A QUESTION OF African-themed collection! Totally in love!

During our last visit to the Pure in London we met the two lovely designers of the Australian sleep/lounge wear label ALAS. Immediately we fell in love with the beautiful prints and gorgeous designs.

The acronym All Light All Shadow represents the nature of change; day to night, sleeping to waking. The phases of the moon and the movement of the tides remind us that everything is connected. Journeys are undertaken, in dreams and in reality. We wander the globe, picking up pieces of inspiration from under stones on beaches, constellations in the sky and patterns in nature.

For this collection Betony and Kelly got inspired by their Moroccan holiday. Pomegranates for breakfast, colours woven into carpets, faded tiles smiling in symmetry. The range features a luscious palette of Mint, Watermelon and Indigo and the unique prints reflect long days by the Atlantic sea, balmy nights and traveller’s tales swept up by the sirocco winds.

The ALAS collections are fairly made in India where the cotton is also grown, spun, woven and dyed. All the garments are constructed with 100% certified organic cotton.
